CAM KENNEDY DRAWS BUDDHA COVER FOR WASTED

This is a mock up for issue 6 of Wasted the colouring might change abit in the final version but it's such a thrill to see someone like Cam draw a character that i work on , as you see he's on Choppers surf board and in space looking cosmic this image appears in the new issue of Wasted out now .
sadly Cam now has retired from comics but he has left a huge amount of brilliant work which will always be in print be it his Judge Dredd work or Star Wars Dark Empire or his adaptions of Kidnapped and  The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

2 new Buddha scripts to draw

got through the post this week two more funny Buddha scripts from
the Legend of action/ humour comics Alan Grant

one story is based in Mexico and the other in China both scripts have been signed by Alan
so soon I'll run a competition on this blog the winner will get a script signed by Alan with a doodle by me on it plus a page of Buddha comic strip art , so stay tuned.

When i first started drawing Tales of the Buddha before he got enlightened 8 years ago

i wanted the art to be a mix of two styles 

French fantasy European art style by Moebius and American underground art by Robert Crumb 

as you can see from these two samples the blend worked well with the mighty Chubby one

there are plans  to release a collection of Tales of the Buddha featuring strips that have appeared in Northern Lightz and Wasted comics , the collection will also include pin-up's by the cream of comic artists such as Simon Bisley, Cam Kennedy and David Taylor plus others.
